The Cayuga Breed is the perfect choice when exploring the world of Ducks! They are a very heat/cold hardy breed. Cayugas have very friendly, fun personalities and can be so fun to watch interact with each other! We have not had an aggressive Drake and all have gotten along well with their Chicken coop-mates. These Ducks are very consistent layers. You can expect around 6 eggs a week per Duck. Eggs can range from Black to a Pale Gray. When your Duck begins laying you can expect Black to Charcoal Gray, this will soon fade to a Lighter Gray Tone to an Off-White Color. We cannot gaurantee your Duck will ever lay a Black Egg.
