This auto-sexing breed is a must have in any backyard flock! Cream Legbars are a medium size chicken that lay beautiful Blue eggs. They are excellent layers and will lay around 5 eggs a week. Cream Legbars are chatty, active, and great foragers. They are hardy in all climates. Legbars sport an adorable crest on their heads. We are able to feather sex chicks upon hatch. Hens may go broody, and make excellent mothers. Our Legbars also carry the recessive White gene, so we occassionally get White offspring. 
 
All Cream Legbars in the US originated from Greenfire Farms. Our flock is a mix of A, B & Jill Rees Lines. Most of our hens are pure Cream, but we do have a few Split-to-Cream hens that have the possibility of producing Crele Coloring. 
 
*The rooster we are using for 2025 came from a breeder who works with Opal Lines. This project color brings the potential of heterozygous birds. We intend to test our rooster to ensure he is a double carrier of the Blue Egg gene which would ensure all first generation offspring to be Blue layers. We have not yet submitted the blood work - this means there is a very small percentage of offspring that could lay off-white to cream colored eggs (This is IF we also have hens that are single carriers). We had a report of a Pink/Cream egg from a Legbar in 2024 - None of the pullets from our own grow outs have laid anything other than Blue, so we can only go off the word of the owner.
