A First generation Olive Egger cross between our Welsummer Rooster over Cream Legbar Hens. Chicks will be sex-linked at hatch. This means we can sex the chicks based on their markings and therefore can offer Female chicks of this cross.  Hens will resemble a Welsummer with about 75% of their offspring acquiring a small crest from their legbar genetics. They will lay beautiful Sage-Olive Green shades and will likely be speckled. Speckles will vary from day to day. A single hen can lay a solid deep Green one day, and a lighter speckled egg the next! We have noticed our young hens of this cross like to go broody, and make excellent mothers if given the opportunity. 
 
Egg Color Disclaimer: Our Cream Legbar hens in this group have not been DNA tested for the Blue Egg Gene. All Legbars SHOULD be Double carriers which results in 100% Green laying offspring when crossed with a Brown egg layer. Due to the genetics involved we DO NOT guarantee egg color and a small percentage of Speckled Brown eggs are possible.
